01 · The story
From ruin to refuge
It was a ruin deep in the Madonie Park. Kasia and Rafal, two Polish authors and writers, bought it and restored it completely, turning it into the home it is today.
Villa Zazzamita sits on a single level, 900 metres above sea level: a living room with a fireplace and rustic-modern furnishings, two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a pool looking out over the Gulf of Termini Imerese. There are no other houses around, only hills, trails and an extraordinary night sky.
